Junkersfeld comes out on top!
The annual Chevy Dealers of the Ozarks Firecracker Classic was a night to remember for Pocahontas, Arkansas native Chris Junkersfeld as he took his Jim and Stella Steimel owned Monte Carlo to Victory Lane. As evening rain pushed back start times for the evenings event, it also sped up the racing action with lap times and speeds faster than normal. The 50 lap feature event seen multiple lead changes and several cautions but Junkersfeld was able to hold of a late race charge from Carl Murphy and Jason Winkle to take home the win. The night also seen Kevin Collins take home the hobby stock win, Brandon Walsh take home the A-Mod win, and Sawyer Crigler take home the Super Late Model win. Legit Speedway will be back in action July 22nd for the 6th annual Ralph Burnett Memorial.
